What You Get

Help retain broken glass

Safety film is designed to help hold glass fragments together when glass breaks. This can reduce the spread of fragments, but it does not make glass unbreakable or remove the risk of injury.

An additional layer, not a complete security system

Film can be part of a broader plan for vulnerable glazing. It does not replace locks, alarms, appropriate glazing, or a professional security assessment. Film-only installations and systems with an attachment detail are not interchangeable.

Options for existing glazing

Suitability depends on the pane, frame, seal condition, glass type, and intended use. We discuss those details before recommending a product rather than applying one specification to every building.

Service Options

Residential windows and glazed doors

Discuss accidental breakage and the areas that concern you. Identify glass types, existing coatings, and any manufacturer warranty restrictions. Safety film does not automatically convert ordinary glass into code-compliant safety glazing.

Storefront and office glass

Start with the intended objective and the condition of the complete opening. Projects with forced-entry, blast, or other performance requirements need a properly specified and tested system—not a generic film claim.

Security vs. solar control

Rayno Rescue focuses on safety/security applications. If heat or glare is the primary issue, review solar-control options separately. A film's thickness or clear appearance alone does not establish its performance for your project.

Our Process

Define your objective

Tell us whether the priority is fragment retention, a particular glass opening, or an existing project specification. Share photos and approximate pane dimensions.

Assess glass, frames, and constraints

Review the glazing, mounting, access, and any required attachment system. Confirm product availability and whether the requested performance can be supported before proceeding.

Approve a defined scope

The proposal should identify the product, covered panes, installation details, exclusions, and care requirements. Ask for current warranty terms and any relevant test documentation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does security film make a window burglar-proof or bulletproof?

No. Do not treat window film as bullet-resistant glazing or a guarantee against entry. Performance claims must relate to the complete tested glass, film, frame, and attachment system.

Will it make my windows hurricane-rated?

Not automatically. Storm or impact ratings apply to specified tested assemblies and applicable requirements. Ordinary film installation should not be represented as a rated replacement window system.

Can you quote from square footage alone?

Dimensions help, but glass type, frame condition, access, attachment requirements, and the requested scope also matter. A site assessment may be necessary before a final quote.

Is film a substitute for replacing damaged glass?

No. Cracks, failing seals, loose glazing, and frame defects should be evaluated before film installation.
