Detailing
Professional surface care, decontamination, and refinement — not just a wash.
A-Team detailing is professional surface care designed to decontaminate, correct, and refine every interior and exterior surface of your vehicle. Using paint-safe wash methods, pH-balanced chemicals, and material-specific techniques for leather, vinyl, fabric, and trim, we remove embedded contaminants, restore clarity and texture, and leave every surface in its best possible condition. Detailing also serves as critical preparation before ceramic coating, paint protection film, or vinyl wrap installation — ensuring the surface underneath is clean, corrected, and ready to bond. Whether your vehicle needs a thorough maintenance detail or a full multi-stage correction, every step is performed by hand with the same care and standards we apply across all of our services.

Our Process
1. Condition Assessment
We inspect the vehicle's interior and exterior surfaces under controlled lighting to identify contamination levels, paint defects, staining, and wear — then build a plan tailored to the vehicle's needs.
2. Decontamination Wash
A thorough, paint-safe hand wash using pH-balanced products removes surface dirt, followed by chemical decontamination and clay bar treatment to strip bonded contaminants from the paint, glass, and trim.
3. Paint Correction & Polish
Using dual-action polishers and graduated compounds, we work through swirl marks, light scratches, water spots, and oxidation — restoring depth, clarity, and a uniform finish across every panel.
4. Interior Deep Clean
Seats, carpets, dash, console, and trim are cleaned using material-appropriate methods — steam extraction for fabric, pH-balanced cleaners for leather, and dedicated products for vinyl and plastic surfaces.
5. Final Protection & Delivery
Exterior surfaces receive a sealant or spray wax for short-term protection. Tires and trim are dressed, glass is polished, and we walk you through the completed detail before releasing the vehicle.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a full detail take?
A full interior and exterior detail typically takes 4 to 8 hours depending on vehicle size, condition, and the level of correction required. Multi-stage paint correction on neglected or heavily swirled vehicles may extend that timeline. We never compress the process — the vehicle is ready when the work is done right.
What's the difference between detailing and a car wash?
A car wash removes loose surface dirt. Professional detailing goes further — decontaminating bonded contaminants from the paint, correcting swirl marks and defects, deep-cleaning interior materials, and restoring surfaces to a refined, protected state. It's maintenance and restoration, not just cleaning.
How often should I have my vehicle detailed?
For most daily drivers, a full detail every 4 to 6 months keeps surfaces in strong condition. Vehicles with ceramic coatings typically require less frequent detailing but benefit from periodic maintenance washes. We can recommend a schedule based on your driving habits and protection level.
Can detailing remove scratches?
Paint correction can reduce or eliminate light to moderate scratches, swirl marks, water spots, and oxidation. Defects that have penetrated through the clear coat to the base paint or primer are beyond what polishing can address and may require touch-up or refinishing. We assess the paint before beginning and set clear expectations.
Is detailing necessary before ceramic coating or PPF?
Yes. Both ceramic coatings and paint protection film bond directly to the surface, so any contamination, swirl marks, or defects underneath will be locked in. A proper detail — including decontamination and correction — ensures the surface is clean, smooth, and defect-free before any protection is applied.
What products do you use?
We use professional-grade, pH-balanced detailing chemicals selected for each surface type. Our compounds, polishes, and sealants are chosen to deliver consistent results without introducing unnecessary risk to the paint, clear coat, or interior materials. If you have questions about specific products, we're happy to walk you through what we use and why.
